Come explore your faith!

Get to Know Us

Worship

You are invited to explore your faith with us in Worship. We have two worship services. Our 9 a.m. L.I.F.T. Family worship and our 10 a.m. Traditional Worship. L.I.F.T. Family Worship is designed for the whole family to worship together. Come to this 30 minute interactive service where we learn bible stories, pray, and sing together. Our traditional worship gathers us around praise, hymns, prayer, the Word, and Communion incorporating traditions and patterns we know best. All are welcome at one or both services each Sunday.

Serve

Our congregation strives to help those in the community around us. There are many opportunities to serve our neighbor. We help combat hunger through our blessings box ministry. We collect needed items for local non-profits and charities. We tend our community garden each summer. We hold events that help community. If you are looking to serve your neighbor and follow God’s call to “love your neighbor as yourself” you can find opportunities to do so here at Good Shepherd. Your help would be most appreciated.

Learn

We seek to deepen our faith through education. We hold weekly bible study, monthly lectures through our J.O.I. program, and periodic book studies, open to anyone who wants to join us. We also have youth learning opportunities through our youth group, confirmation classes, and L.I.F.T. Family worship. We also value music education through our vocal and handbell choirs that meet each week. We seek through our learning to build a deeper relationship with our faith and to expand our knowledge of where God is calling us in the world.

What do We Believe

We believe all are welcome in the Body of Christ and we mean all. We believe God created this world. God throughout time has sent prophets and messengers to make known his will. God sent his only son, Jesus, to teach us how to live, and to ultimately give his life. Jesus was raised from the dead forever dispelling the power of sin and death. We believe God sends God’s Holy Spirit in our midst, continuing to inspire and call us to follow God’s teachings.

We are a Lutheran congregation and part of the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. You can learn more about what we believe specifically and our denomination by clicking below.
