Our church has a great leadership team that helps steer our ministries and help our community. Get to know a bit more about them!

    Rev. Joey Klinger

    Pastor

    Pastor Joey began his ministry at Good Shepherd in September of 2024. Before coming to Good Shepherd he served as Pastor of Redemption Lutheran Church in Northeast Philadelphia. Pastor Joey lives in Coatesville with his husband Mark, their dog and two cats. Pastor Joey enjoys baking, running, performing in community theater, and video games.

    Sandy Haines

    Parish Administrator

    Sandy has been a member of Good Shepherd for many years and has served as the Parish Administrator for over 7 years. She makes sure the office runs smoothly and all our ministries are well equipped. When she is not helping control the chaos at the church you can find her at her favorite beaches looking for shells.

    Donna Fesmire

    Choir and Bell Choir Director

    I have been working as an organist/choir director in churches for the past 40 years. I am a graduate of Westminster Choir College and a retired music teacher.  

    I enjoy working with pastor and team  to help enhance worship. I feel this is a gift I was given and try to use it to bring praise and glory to God.

    Organist

    I have been playing in Lutheran churches for over 50 years, because I appreciate the Lutheran liturgy and hymns.  It's a great joy to join with others in praising God through wonderful music.  I am a proud alumnus of West Chester University.

    Katie Schnaath

    Children, Youth, and Family Director

    Katie has been working in youth ministry for many years. She also works for our national church, the ELCA. She loves helping youth find a connection with God!

    Erin Kauppila

    Youth Music Director

    Dr. Erin Kauppila is the Director of Instrumental Music at Oxford Area High School. Dr. Kauppila has worked at OAHS for 22 years teaching the marching, concert and jazz bands; string orchestra; music theory; 3 levels of guitar; and Mariachi Band. In 2025, Dr. Kauppila was honored to receive the PMEA District 12 Citation of Excellence Award. She loves helping kids connect with God through song.

    Arnetta Nixon-Forman

    Sexton

    My name is Arnetta Nixon-Forman,  I work for a law firm during the day, and Sexton at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in the evenings. Love traveling and spending time with family making memories. 

  • Our Church Council

    Each year our congregation elects leaders from the church to serve on council. The council is the board of the congregation and helps keep our ministries strong. They oversee the various committees of the church, keep an eye on the budget, and help make sure everything runs smoothly.
